ISADORA
1968 UK 138 mins

A moving biography of the dancer Isadora Duncan, the 1920s dancer who had a child by Paris Singer, heir to the sewing machine magnate who owned Oldway Mansion in Paignton. Isadora forever changed people's ideas of ballet, and her attitudes on free love, dress, and lifestyle shocked the public of her time. Vanessa Redgrave’s mesmerising performance as Isadora won her the Cannes Film Festival Award for Leading Actress.

Torbay Film Club Viewer Comments:

Some very touching moments.
Very good actress performance.
Isadora did have a very busy life!!!!
Scenic Russian poet was more beautiful and romantic.
Some scenes were bad enough to have been directed by Ken Russell.  Dated and camp.
Bad sound - found it difficult to hear dialogue!
Too long.
Agree.
Tedious.
